Soulafein is not there. ***help***

I have just finished talking with soulafein and his matron wench for my first quest of rescuing Phaere. When i go to the place in Underdark where i am supposed to meet soulafein, he is not there. I have triend reloading several times, but he does not show up.
Im assuming this a bug caused by the mods. I really need to work it out though because i cannot continue on in my game if he does not show. Please Help.

I don't know of any mod that changes Solaufein's quests around Ust Natha (even the Solaufein romance mod does not touch that part of the game).

Make sure that you didn't accidentally taken too long fighting with Boz and his friends on your way from Ust Natha to the Lower-Right Corner.

You need to rest once, do this after you fight the goons that await you near the bridge in the Underdark.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago, rest is the answer you seek (for me it was so)

Are you sure you know where to go? maybe it was just a simple mistake of not looking far enough?

Didn't work. Tried resting not at all, once, twice, then about 6 times. Even after waiting that long, he doesnt show in Ust Natha to tell me that I was late. Nothing happens. The Matron drow that orders him about (forgot the name) doesnt show up anywhere in Ust Natha either. It's as if the Game engine forgot that either of them exists.

I have ascension, ease of use, item upgrade, and tactics mods. I tried reinstalling them, but still nothing happened.

There was a hostile drow war party that showed up after i rested once(about 8 warriors or so), and i thought maybe he wouldn't show unless they were dead. Killed them and still nothing.

Yes I do know exactly where he is supposed to be. Ive played through 4 or 5 times (just beneath the stalagmites in the southeast corner, after the bridge guarded by kua-tua, where its a little darker)

I've thought of a couple options to get around this.
I could kill Adalon, dispell my drow illusion, and just slaugter the entire drow city without doing any of the Ust Natha quests. Would this allow me to play through, or would it be a waste of time?
I could also simply leave to the west, and exit Underdark without even completing Ust Natha. Can i do this, or do i need to complete Ust Natha before I can go on in the game?

Found him. The bastard was standing just inside the entrence to Ust Natha, by the tank. It seems the game engine has indeed completely forgotten about his role. When I talk to him, he simply says "My mind is occupied with thoughts of the future, I have no time for idle talk." This is 2 days after he should have showed up outside the city. I have concluded that he never left the city, and never plans to.

I have worked around this though. Killing Adalon allows me to exit underdark, skipping all quests in Ust Natha (shucks, i always loved seeing the Matron Mother and Phaere screaming in horror and disbelief as their pet demon tore them apart) while still giving me time to slaughter the entire city and the occupants of the ajoining caverns. Thanks for your help, and pardon my oversight.
