**CONTAINS BEGINNING TOB SPOILERS**
* * * * * * * * * * * * * Ok, i just got ToB and i got some questions (heh, sorry if they are kinda long ![]() 1.I clicked new multiplayer game for ToB and imported a single character, my sorcerer. I did what it told me to, talked to the faces, then this bhaalspawn lady comes. alright, im ready for her. Boom, shes dead. easy as pie, so me and my skely and are walking along then i just die. does this happen right after the battle with her? or does it wait till you walk to a certian area. Why does this happen?? 2.Why do you get summoned to the pocket plane from that angel person? Is it because she needs to tell me about my fate and stuff? if thats so, why cant i just leave after she tells me. Why did i have to be summoned to hell to be told that? 3.As i said, i went into the new ToB game with one character. If i load a game with a full party will they all travel to the pocket plane with me, or will i have to summon them from that spirit delee. Will they be stronger if i summon them, or should i keep them in my party when i travel there. 4.I read that at the end of the first challenge, i will have to face Bodhi, Irenicus, and Sarevok. If i take Sarevok into my party ill still have to fight a sarevok, right? just not the one in my party? Also, are these 3 hard together? do they come out at once? 5.If i just load my final save from SoA or just load directly into ToB after i finish SoA will i get to keep my items? Or will i be stuck with the bag of holding stuff. Once i finish SoA will i be able to tell Ellesime when i want to go into ToB? or will i go directly after i finish SoA(if i choose to continue with that party)? Sorry if some of this is kinda redundant or stupid, this is my first time playing ToB, and its 2 am in the mourning ![]() Xero

They do indeed come out together, but not the very first minute. They are the last batch. And dont worry, they're not *that* hard,.. they dont have the power they had when you faced them one at a time in SoA. Quote:
You wont be able to tell Ellesime when you want to go into ToB, it starts immediatly after the cutscene of her thanking you. So basically the party you defeat Irenicus with is the party you start ToB with. Offcourse you're free to summon other party-members via your pocket-plane NOTE: You will be sort of able to control when you begin ToB/ the fight wiht Illasera. ToB begins after you click on the stone heads. You can shuffle equipment around and IIRC even rest and all that as much as you want before you click on the stone heads. After that you'll get the "someone is coming, prepare yourself" -message Quote:

EDIT: Took some time,.. but I now know how to use the quote stuff, hooray for me. I feel proud [ 04-13-2003, 06:12 AM: Message edited by: daan ]

1. Yes it happens right after your battle with her, it's the way you are transported to your pocket plane.
2. Yes she does tell you your fate then, and every time you kill one of the Five. You control that part of Hell because it was once your father's, and you can leave. Talk to Sarevok and restore him, then you'll have to go to the first room (on the left) and you'll have to fight quite a few people. Once you past the test, you can go through the exit to Saradush. 3. Depends how stronger your party with you is. When you summon characters from the Spirits they'll be boosted to 18th level (single class that is), but they just get standard equipment (scimitar +3, helmet, shield +2, and so forth). 4. If Sarevok is still in your party, yes you may hsve to fight a Sarevok, but not necessarily. Depending on your alignment (or such), you may have to fight Elisime and Aran Linvail. They're really a cake walk (except for Bodhi's level drain) and they do all come out at once. 5. If you import a game from SoA onto ToB, you will be able to keep all of your items, but you may lose some items, not all, but some items in your bag of holding. No, you won't be able to talk to Ellisime again, once you finish SoA, you got right to the elven forest and speak with the spirits. Later |

Bag of Holding (and summoning party members) is there for those characters that are fresh new from creation, and would otherwise have empty inventories. Quote:

Just a little note that you cannot have Sarevock in your party to fight the first trial of the Planar Stronghold, unless you cheat.
In addition, it is almost always better to normally transit from SoA to ToB via the final battle in the Nine Hells. This allows you to keep all your best equipment and more importantly, your Nine Hells' bonus statistics. |

You can do the first hell trial with Sarevok in your party, aren't you mistaking Dundee, he doesn't mean the fight against Illasera; but the first hell trial. So yes, you can do the first trial with Sarevok in your team. Quote:
Go to the middle of the Abyss, walk to the North; their will be a opening where you have to click on.. this will teleport you in the sieged city of Saradush ![]()

If you really dont want to be spoiled for what's after the first test, dont ask
![]() Seriously though, I know you're probably curious .. but just wait and see, might be more fun. ( Feel free to ignore me though, its your game ) [ 04-13-2003, 03:44 PM: Message edited by: daan ]

I know how to get out, i was asking what about all those other challenges in there.. you see about 5 areas that will have challenges, Sarevok open the first one. What i ment was why dont you do all the others before you leave. I did the first one and left.. was i supposd to do the others to get more exp and stuff before i went onto Saradush?

Nah, nah, nah Xero. Those other challenge rooms are for later on bud. Each time you kill one of the five, you black-out and the spirit tells you more info, thus unlocking another door to the rooms. So you can't do the others before you leave, so just go into Saradush and have some fun.
