Hi there peeps.

I've just installed the Tactics mod, and am sometimes regretting that decision (not much though, the new items in it are amazing).

I've not yet steeled myself to face the "improved" Kangaxx yet, but I know from reading the forums that he has some new buddies to keep an eye on his sexy golden ass.

I was just wondering for specific tips/tricks and general ways to win this fight. I also remember hearing something about a rat? lol.

The character taking on Mr Kangaxx and co will be a L21/22 Kensai/Mage. All help gratefully recieved

Kudos to anyone who actually manages to kill that rat ...
I had my kensai, thief and shapeshifter-druid in Greater Werewolf form all beat on him after destroying Gaxx and *couldnt* kill it.
That thing is thougher than Gaxx himself, doesnt take more than 4-7 damage a hit and seems to have infinite HP

All im gonna say is make sure you have some basic protections when first entering the building ( Protection from magic -lvl 6- f.e. ), a trigger with 3 skull-traps would complement that nicely.

As for Gaxx himself,.. be prepared and make sure you have some Spell Immunties -lvl 5- memorized ( as much as possible ). Dont wanna spoil too much more, more fun too find out yourself

Apologies for resurrecting this post, but I'm about to face him and I could really use some help with this one

1) Does the rat have anything to do with the battle?
2) Best spells to win this fight?
3) How many other liches are with Kangaxx? How the hell do I get my party through this without dying?

Please heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp

Well... the cop-out way is to use a Protection from Undead scroll to nullify the twin Lich guardians, but this is a last resort method.

I advise immunity to Magic Damage, Fire and Electricity. Buff as necessary, use potions if you have to. You will need Spell Immunity:Evocation to avoid spellcasting failure.

A Planetar( if you have ToB) gated at the rear of the guardians will prove to be a very handy distraction. Summon some spiders to waste their Death Spells, then sic Skeleton Warriors on their spellcasters while you engage with a Contingency of Improved Haste. Weapons with elemental damage are good in this fight, due the rampant usage of Stoneskins.

If this is in Chapter 6, Cloak of Mirroring will help out a lot.

/me breaks out the cloak of cheese

Ta Dundee.

Ps. Does that rat actually do anything? I can vaguely remember someone talking about it on this forum a long time ago.

I think it was just an innocent bystander. I don't recall fighting any rat.

It's Kangaxx his pet-rat, he inheritaged Kangaxx's his powers when you killed him... making him Immortal (Kangaxx was thought to be Immortal though... I smacked the hell out of him )

Kangaxx's dammned soul is captured in the small body of this particular rat.... Kangaxx will live on... no matter in what form or existence, he's a Demi-Lich people! That should come with a bonus pack of nice little trinkets and ability's..

I base this on facts... my wild imagination.

lol. I thought the rat was some sort of spirit receptacle for Kangaxx's dark soul and it needed to be killed first

Eek. The guardian liches were quite weak, and I think they are a little overrated. The reason I was a bit dubious about them was that I thought they'd be in the same chamber WITH Kangaxx - and that would be a bit tricky fighting them all at once.

However, I am finding Improved Kangaxx (note the word IMPROVED, I don't need regular Kangaxx killing techniques here...) hard. He seems to be immune to any traps I try and cheese him with, as well as the ring of the ram.

Please help me, specific advice appreciated
