Anomen has hit the level where he is able to choose a HLA, but I don't know wich to choose because.... I never used them before, I think about getting Summon Deva because it sounds great... or energy blade (though Anomen is a pretty good tank so.. that isn't really necessary)... wich is worth picking??

I know this problay should be in the ToB section but I'm still in SoA so I didn't know where to put this in.... and here are more people so I will probaly get a quicker response... I hope .

Thx...!

You should have posted this at ToB anyway.

Deva sucks.
Get Energy Blades - this stuff kills for real. Nine disks per round, 6-16 per hit is 54-144 damage... And THAC0 is +10 bonus. Hohoho.

Well, this is a ToB-post, so it really should be in that forum.

The HLA to choose depends on the rest of your party. Do have good tanks? If so, the Deva isn't useful. Do you have good Archers? If so, Energy Blades won't be all that good.
If you use Anomen as a tank, I suggest you take Globe of Blades. A tank that good becomes a killing machine with a protection that good.

Go with Storm of Vengence, nice little trick if you ask me.

Storm of vengeance is funny ( I used to load up one them in a Chain Contingency with my Cleric/mage, while a sorcerer kept asking the genie for spell-restoration .. I had about 15 storms per round disrupting stuff )

If you're going to tank though, I too would choose globe of blades.
If you use: Globe of Blades + Blade Barrier + Aura of flaming death
not a lot of smart enemies ( and friends ) are going to come near you.

Provided that an enemy hits you once per round, the total maximum potential damage he receives in that round, excluding you hitting him = 100 + 64 + 22 = 186 Damage. And you get +4 AC, protection from all normal weapons and +90% Fire resistance

Implosion is often overlooked. It deals immense damage, and bypass Magic Resistance!

Storm of Vengeance is decent, as Daan explained.

Devas are wonderful summons - but are trumped by Planetars if you have them.

Don't get anyway near Energy Blades - Anomen will do much better with Ages.

Aura of Flaming Death looks quite nice on paper. 90% Fire Res, +4 AC Bonus, More than three times as damaging as Fireshield, and immunity to normal weapons/missiles.

Could this be combined with PfMW for Cleric/Mages for complete immunity to weapons?

Aura of Flaming Death is not all that hot (pun intended). It basically combines a number of moderate effects in one spell, when the whole is not that greater than the sum of its parts.

Why bother? Pro-Magical-Weapons and Pro-Normal-Weapons can be stored in a trigger, which does not waste a HLA.
