I can't remember which, but I think she has something to say to either Valygar or Haer'dalis.

Isn't it a two-handed sword BTW?

She has noting to do with Hear'Dalis IIRC, but most likely with Valygar.

[add] I'm not sure what kind of busniss she has with Valygar though, and yes it is a 2-handed sword.

i was thinking two handed but wrote long, you guys are right....

another one just popped in mind.
that random encounter you get in the trademeet area, after the underdark.
where a buncha peasants ask you if your the fabled Bane (or offcourse the name you chose for your pc)

you go yes, and they shapeshift into your party -> say somebodys looking for you (or something) talk some more bold words and start attacking........ then offcourse u rip them to shreads like the sad fools they are.

whats up with them?

People believe it has something to do with Irenicus, but it was never explained what the specific perpuse was of those clone's ... and why they are looking for you, it could also be a unfinished Quest (there are lot of those in BG II)

Why it is thought to me related with Irenicus?:

Simple because he is known to use clone's (Asylum End Battle, Fun House (Ellesime's (Elven Queen) copy), and he wants you death.

The doppelganger encounter doesn't necessarilly have to happen in Trademeet - it's a random encounter that could happen anywhere in Chapter 6. Basically it's part of a quest that was left unfinished by Bioware that tied together the Twisted Rune, the Slavers, the Guarded Compound, and that strange little area in the sewers beneath the Copper Coronet where the myconid lairs.

mine happened walking in between districts, so it just shows they can come whenever.

The encounter of the 6 people that turn themselves into your party is most likely NOT connected to the Twisted Rune, Slavers, etc. If you examine their loot after you kill them, you will find that they were most probably Rakshasa, who are known to work with Irenicus on occasion. I have never heard of any ties between Irenicus and the Twisted Rune & Co.

(Although why Irenicus would bother to send Rakshasa assassins after you is another matter, since he knows that you'll die on your own soon enough and doesn't give a flying fart about you anyway.)

This is another Thread about ''clones'', I have pointed out there that the group of peasants you encounter in Chapter 6 could possible be Doppelgangers, just read it Six and you'll see why I think that.

The Rakshasa you meet in Suldenesellar turn themselves into Elven Mages, and cast spells and attack while in that form as well, so I think this is just another case of BioWare not playing strictly by the AD&D Rulebook.

Of course, any serious debate on this issue is an "angels dancing on the head of a pin" sort of thing anyway, I just felt that the drop of Long Sword, Death Spell, Mislead, and True Sight was something of a smoking gun.
