the main problem i have w/ doing the wk in soa is you get lots of items that you can't do anything w/ to tob. what is useful is buffing stats and lotsa items that will benefit you

I disagree! I beat Watcher's Keep before I ended SoA, and it beefed me up quite a bit, Machine of Lum the Mad But the items are still pretty descent. You still get Axe of the Unyielding, though it may not have the vorpal capabilities. But, I have done WK in the middle of ToB, and... it just slowed things down for me. So, I suggest you do it before ToB, so that way you can just run right through it without having WK as a bother.

There is quite a bit of stuff to do SoA, which will keep you busy. In ToB, it seemed very short, with not too much different stuff to do. It will keep you entertained in ToB, so I'd do it there. Plus it's a nice break from just killing the Five.

I always do watchers keep in SoA, simply to get the great gear and magical items that are available there. By the time you get to ToB, everyone and his dog has amazing magical items, and doing the dungeon seems far less rewarding.

Was a little gutted the first time I played ToB because I finished it in well under a day. I suppose watchers keep would drag it out a little bit longer...
