In my opinion the Goblins have to be the hardest monster to beat.

Just kidding

For me the Hardest creature to beet was the Silver dragon. She was a pain. What was the hardest creature for you to kill?

hardest creature i've ever faced was MY yoshimo...lvl 22, had about 15 invisibility potions, girdle of frost giant strength, and celest fury...took me about 20 tries to evade his backstabbing, he still chunked most of my party, beyond resurrection.

In SoA:
.....
hmmm
I'll answer that one when Ive played trough the tactics mod. THe hardest battle I had in SoA was with Firkraag, defeating him with a quite low lvl party(9-11)

ToB: End boss battle. Very challenging and entertaining.

Probably Firkraag in SOA in TOB it would be Draconis who caused me all sorts of grief. The end boss in TOB is also quite challenging as mentioned.

Last challenge of ToB with my solo monk. Although I never did finish with that monk. Ascension final battle is *tough*.

Firkraag was definatly the hardest my first time palying. Low level party and not knowing what to do just running in and attacking took awhile

Dealing with item eating Nishruus/Magic Eaters when you don't have Death Spell yet.

Id have to side with Zerephel, (Improved) Adalon was quite a tough foe. (4th attempt at battle) After butchering my party, fully re-healing after my half orc battered her to near death, and wing buffeting my entire party back and forth across her lair (before they died) she finally cornered my main and continuously wing buffeted until i died.

It is partially my fault though, being to impatient to learn the spell system well or good battle strategies.

I've taken down dragons, irenicus, bodhi, balors, but the one foe (s) that I have THE most trouible with, is, in the underdark mid flayer sub-map, the packs of mind flayers and their umber hulk minions, it takes me sooo long to beat them!!!

Btb, does anyone have any good tactics for this situation?

thanks decurion

Improved Haste/potions of genius, and potions of magic shielding (the one that automatically makes all saves for 4 turns) (I think), and if you have a good ac you can usually demolish the flayers before you take too many hits
