can someone explain to me how multi-classes gain hit points ? My fighter/mage/thief seems to only ever get about 1-2 hit points on any level up, even setting difficulty back to easiest while levelling up.
current levels are 11/12/14 respectively, and my HP total = 72 (including bonus from fairy dragon familiar (24HP) and helm of Balduran (+5 HP max))

EDIT: constitution = 15

levels 1-9 you only get 1/3 of the hit points for each class.

AFAIK, for levels 1-9 you'll get (Fighter HP + Mage HP + Thief HP)/3 Hit Points, which fits nicely with your current HP.

For levels > 9 you're rolling a 1D2 dice each level up.

Oh, and BTW - when casting Find Familiar, you get additional (Familiar's HP)/2 hit points - so the Fairy Dragon actually gave you 12, not 24 hit points.

oh, ok. thanks

(ps I knew familiar HP bonus is half, I meant the fairy dragon has 24)
