Boots of no speed

I have just found that the boots of speed I have been using will no longer work on my main character. Potions will still haste him, but the boots dont work. I have tried stripping him of all equipment in case of a conflict, but that didnt help. Now when I give them to others they are ok. Anybody else had that happen?

What class are you? If it's a Monk, keep in mind that a Monk can't be hasted.

Otherwise, it's either a conflict with a Free Action effect (from the ring or the spell), or a bug.

It happend to me about one year ago and I found out that it was a bug. I re-installed the game and my Assasin was now able to be hasted...
So I suggest you try to re-install...

Oof, thats a pain in the ***. Installing BGII takes an hour... just for a simple bug like that..

Is your game fully patched?
