As stated in the title...

I was tromping through the graveyard while playing my first Solo game as a thief, and you know that noise spiders make in the game? Cuz, you know, Spiders make noise... well, I play with headphones on, and it made that noise, and it was all loud in my headphones, and it scared the crap out of me... I jumps like a foot out of my chair, and i got that rush of adrenaline that you get when somehting startles you... so yeah, I feel pretty lame

I know a lot of people who have an extreme fear of spiders. I will never understand them on this issue, since I love the critters. True... I do freak out if they come too close to certain parts of my body, but other than that, I feel comfortable enough around them to pet them.

My favourites are the jumping spiders. They are just so cute. The spiders in BG2 are pretty bland though. Yes, they have the typical spider shape, but most spiders look nothing like that, and I know a lot of furry ones.

I'm not scared of spiders.... I mean, I get the shivers if one runs across my foot, but I've no fear of squashing the little buggers. It's just that noise that they make in the game.... it startled me...

If you like Spiders, you should see Eight-Legged Freaks. It's a wonderful little Horror-Comedy

It's weird because i'm a devoted arachnaphobic. I've feared spiders for as long as I can remember to the point where I had a panic-attack when my older brother 'jokingly' placed one on my leg about 2 years ago. I never got over that one lol. To add my two cents i'd say it has some genetic/hereditory link as I had no real reason to fear this insect but I do, big time.
The spiders in BG2 or any other computer game don't scare me though, the sense of danger/alarm is not real enough. I actually enjoy battling them coz they look cool in the game itself (sword and phase spiders). I know alot of people fear snakes too and a mate of mine who plays BG and has this fear of reptiles loves the snake avatars in the game! You know if you want to hear creepy spider noises try Thief: The Dark Project

Well, I'm fine with spiders for the most part, but one of my multiplay partners (Cloudbringer, in fact), is terrified of the dratted things, even in the game! LOL I even had to go up and talk to the spider in the Circus Tent for her, even though she KNOWS it's just an illusion, because it creeped her out. We still haven't played the graveyard yet in our multi game, so it should be rather interesting to see what happens there.

In fact, it's more interesting to go if you don't like spiders.
or if you go with your best friend who doesn't.
