Arnise Keep - trolls

Where in Akhatla can you buy acid arrows to put those trolls down?

Pretty much all vendors have acid arrows I think, the one living on the second floor of Gaelans house in the Slums sells some.

But there should be a good supply of fire arrows in the D'Arnaise Keep, accessible after just one troll (that you can down and then quickly run for the arrows)

AFAIK, the Fletchery at Waukeen's Promenade sells some - or it sells Flame Arrows? - it does not matter as far as trolls are considered [img]smile.gif[/img]
The De'Arnise Keep contains many Flame Arrows. When you arrive there, you will find them in the loot (blue) places near the entrance, before you meet the trolls. Therefore, you need not buy bags of arrows. Buy only enough arrows for getting from the wilderness to the Keep.

you really don't even need the arrows if you do it right, have your mages memorize a lot of fire and acid arrow and as soon as they fall fire one off.

Or have a Cleric memorise a bunch of Flame Blades. [img]smile.gif[/img]

OK thanks. I don´t know how much in masses they´ll be coming, but Im sure there are enough of arrows now.

Or you just talk to the captin of the guards (whats hes name??) and I think he´ll give you some...

If ToB is installed, press TAB and hold it down, and all the chest/crates-anything that can hold an item- will be displayed. Search through them in the D'Arnise hold and I found loads of Arrows of Acid/Fire to use.

None ToB Option: Search long and hard for all the things that hold items and you'll find something.

Also, Minsc, for some reason, was able to kill them using the Sword of Chaos when they were down. I think it is because after every sucessful hit it drains 1hp, which the Troll is probably not immune to.

I think just about EVERY item that does "extra damage" is capable of killing Trolls, provided it's not some element to which Trolls are immune (such as Cold). So, in attition to Fire and Acid, you can kill them with Poison, Lightning, and probably Magic Damage. Spider Spawn rules here, as does Valygar's Katana. (He's even killed a Gaseous Form with that Katana.)

[ADD:] Once you get some Fire/Acid arrows, you may want to conserve them. Only the final shot really matters, so don't waste 'em if you can't spare 'em. I liked having Minsc Tank with a 2-Handed Sword, take a Troll down, then quickly switch to his Composite Longbow and place a Fire Arrow directly into the downed Troll's ear.

The trolls are a bit of mystery. When you parse cre.bif, you will find "dead trolls" - creatures that have 1 HP and 100 against everything except Fire and Acid. Nevertheless, I can confirm that the "dead trolls" can be finished not only by fire and acid. Wyvern Tail works, for example (checked).
