Hi, Well Im in chapter two and just killed firkraag. So I got the Holy Avenger and since Anomen is the only NPC that can use it I wonder if it's a better idea swithching him with Valygar. I currently use Valygar as a fighter. I guess he is is better with a bow but then I would only have Minsc to tank and that would be too much for him. So would Anomen be a better fighter with the holy avenger than Valygar would ever be as a fighter?

DSlaytern] Cheerio.

Anomen is not a Paladin. He cannot wield Carsomyr. Anomen is a Fighter->Cleric. The only Paladin NPC in the game is Keldorn.

Erhm, Anomen can't use a holy avenger. He is not a paladin, but a fighter/cleric. He cannot use edged weapons anyway.

The guy you want is Keldorn whom you will find in the sewers under the temple district.

pardon me, first for calling Anomen a paldin, hes just a wannabe one, I meant Keldorn. Pardon for not putting spoiler tags but I thought spoiler tags only were applied to storyline spoilers...

So is Keldorn better than Valygar then?

Man I have to go basic school again to improve my spelling!

You revealed the true identity of a certain character. That certainly will take the surprise out for a new player.

Keldorn with the Gauntlets of Dexterity and Carsomyr versus Valgar with Celestial Fury and Malakar. Hmmmm... decisions, decisions. Who else is in your party?

Valygar is better IMO. Keldorn is good but his Dexterity is too low for my liking, but it can be fixed with some magic bracers. Valygar is pretty handy for scouting with his stealth skill and backstab is handy for taking out any mages you come across.

I say, give Minsc the boot, and take both Valygar and Keldorn.

Keldorn equipped with Carsomyr is a Mages' nightmare,
And Valygar Dual Wielding (AND backtabbing!) Celestial Fury + X is truly a sight to behold.

Both of them are a bit boring NPCs... Strong minded, but boring... It's yor call.

I know you didn't mean Anomen but I prefer him over Keldorn and Valygar. I like him because he fits into both Neutral and Good parties, and is a pure class Cleric (Well, Dualed from fighter but that class doesn't recieve exp)...
