This RPG looks a LOT like an old school RPG... (as they claim).. It was a kickstarter, I wondered if it was based of Divine Divinity but dunno...
It's got a complex world, lots of neat things.. co-op multiplayer AND a toolset to make your own mods/levels for multiplayer! Check it out at: http://www.divinityoriginalsin.com/ It's like $40 I think.. or a bit less... steam may offer deals. (I do hate steam) but oh well... ugh. If you own it, let us know what you think!! (Here are some reviews--looks like its a huge hit) “Hands down the best classic-style RPG in years” 9/10 – Eurogamer “An incredible title that provides many hours of entertainment” 9/10 – Game Informer “Outstanding tactical combat and engaging quests make Divinity: Original Sin one of the most rewarding RPGs in years” 9/10 – IGN “One of the deepest and most unforgettable games of the year” 9.5/10 - Polygon “To play Divinity: Original Sin is to fall in love with role-playing games all over again” 9/10 - Gamespot |

The game is also available on GoG. Same price.
I think it's slightly overrated. It's still good but just slightly overhyped.

Yeah, saw that it was on GoG.. I'd buy it there. no steam or DRM crap to deal with... (same thing?
![]() I may wait till a bit till it goes on sale.. They usually have sales all the time on stuff.. I wonder how LONG the campaign is... Someone called it "Baldur's Gate 3"..lol dunno about THAT. Thanks for the info! |

Length depends on what all you do.
If you're a completionist, figure between 60-90 hours. Nobody I know has claimed to finish the game in less than 60 hours and some have said it took them over 100 hours. Took me slightly over 75 hours. There are four big maps: Cyseal , Luculla, Hyberheim and Dark Forest BG3? No.

Yeah, I hate when people compare any RPG to a 'BG3'.. and its non existent anyway...
![]() WOW! Yeah, I'm one to complete every single side quest there is.. that's really good! I was worried, because these days with console game ideology has infected some PC games length.. I was scared it would be like 10hrs or something. I may grab it.. been watching YouTube videos on it.. VERY in-depth skills.. charm, intimidate, etc. Kinda bummed Witcher 3 was delayed till 2015, but they NEED to polish it... remember the first one. lol.. Just itching for a CRPG with depth.. |

Got it, and wow, its really great so far! It does remind me of Ultima 7 a BIT... Loads of skills and combat is turned based, which I thought I'd dislike, but I LOVED the gold box games in the late 80's and 90's, so I risked it..
It was worth it. Really is rewarding. Much more tactical than a hack and slasher.. Because these mobs can rip you a new one if you don't plan. I remember the end battles of Pools of Darkness, and WOW those were hard... then Dave's Challenge was insane. (some may not know of that game, or some gold box games, but some encounters were just brutal. ![]() Love the humor too. ![]() |

Just finished D:OS yesterday. Spent 200+ hours!. Gad,,, the final boss was too tough, and I had to use a Trainer to beat it. After my 12th reload I just gave up and cheated... wanted to see the ending.

I don't really mind Steam at all, they have some good deals on a regular basis, or sometimes even free games. I got NBA2K14 there last year for roughly 11 euro, and the other day i picked up Skyrim for only 5. Pretty good deals if you ask me.
I still have the old Divine Divinity sitting on a shelf in front of me, but can't for the life of me remember what it's about. LOL
