I used to play on Heat.net but that has recently closed down, and I wanna take up my Ranger with a party of REAL people sometime soon, anyone know some good places where i can find other people to play with? BG, TOTSC, and DSOTSC.

Really, the best way to MP is to get to know some folks on a board like this and start your own regular game with them.
The following is a good, standard protocol for MP: ToSC v.5512 ToSC patch http://www.interplay.com/support/bgtales/patch.html directX8 http://www.microsoft.com/directx/homeuser/downloads directX8 patch http://www.interplay.com/support/bgtales/patch.html no Dark Side of the Sword Coast no Roger Wilco firewall disabled To join: 1) multiplayer 2) TCP/IP connection 3) join game 4) type in host's IP address (and password if applicable) You can play with Dark Side of the Sword Coast installed, but everyone that's playing needs to have it also. Everyone in the game needs to be set up identically. [This message has been edited by Lemernis (edited 08-24-2001).] |

I used to play with my friend using the phone and direct connect. Then i got cable internet. I was planning on using a CD crack and load ALL of BG, like 2gb, or more, on my computer so i wouldnt have to use a CD again and start a whole new game online.
Thing is, i like DSOTSC but im pretty sure the CD Crack makes a whole new drive and wont give a dam for the other versions on the system. Not sure why i didnt think of mplayer... thanks, -Aragain Leafstalker |

I use to play on gamespy but now that i got cable i cant figure out how to play with my firewall on gamespy arcade. I wish all mplayer supported games had its own server list like tribes. or Diablo with battle.net

I've never even been able to play multiplayer with other players. Everytime I try it doesn't work. Something screwy with my network card, I suppose.
