I think the answer to that probably depends on your machine - I've successfully loaded a 4800x3200 pixel overland on an XP machine turning 3.2 gigaflops with 1.5 gigs of RAM. A higher end machine could probably do a bigger picture, a lower end a smaller picture.
The load time was quite long on this, but it did load. ![]() |

yeah, most I ever did was a 1600 x 1600 pixel map. It takes a bit to load, and its 100 x 100 square.
