Bioware taking apps for Dragon Age Toolset closed beta

In August, BioWare announced that it plans to release a similar toolset alongside the PC edition of Dragon Age: Origins. And today, the EA-owned developer said that it is now accepting beta-tester applications through the game's official Web site. BioWare notes that not all who apply will be accepted into the beta test. As for applicants, BioWare hopes to attract a diverse pool of testers. It is seeking those with little to no mod-making experience in addition to veteran module builders. The developer also said that testers will be selected from a wide range of desktop setups.

Yeah I saw that. I wonder how you can test the toolset when the game isn't even out yet. Doesn't seem like there'll be much to do with it.

I thought it was slated to be a "develepor grade" toolset according to them. Has this changed? I mean, I ain't complaining, any beta of a toolset from a game indicates that they are actually considering it an important part of the game, as opposed to a hastily-packaged afterthought which we see so often nowadays.
