Default Does he need a party??

Started a game from TuTu beginning.

PC is a Monk, Human
Stats
St-17
Dx-18
Cn-15
In-10
Wi-15
Ch-12

I used less than 10 rolls to get that (I have a 10 reroll max rule), so aside from rerolling, I haven't cheated.

I've never done a monk before. Should I try to assemble a party for him? Or will he decimate the competition on his own?

I'll likely do my own thing regardless, but I'd still like to hear others opinions.

Monks can get prety strong so at later levels, you might not really need a party for him if you have enough healing potions.

without giving anything away, they struggle a bit at the start of SoA but get very strong very quickly solo

i've never tried but i think if you solo the BG1 bit of tutu there could be a fair bit of tedious running around with a sling&bullets

Hmmm... I think I've made the right choice then. I started using a party, and as he improves I'll probably have him split off and go solo, depending on how battles run. I'm trying to keep him strictly barehand combat. So some back up archers for awhile aren't a bad thing. interesting that Tutu starts khalid as a dual-bastard sword wielder. It'll be interesting to see how that works in combat.
