The child's remains in
There is just so much possibility in a young child... to have it taken by one who should be taking care... my mind falters. ![]()

The question I want to know is, how much did the grandparents know?
Also, why wasn't the meter reader's tip back in August ("Hello, police? I found a skull...") followed up better? I would've expected the cops to say "we'll meet you there so you can show us what you found" instead of "tell us where and we'll send a deputy, uh, sometime soon." Nitpick: it's in Orlando FL, not AL.

Nitpick corrected. Apologies... Nancy Grace has seemed to cover it the most, and I just can't stand that woman...
I thought the skull was just found.... the meter guy reported a bag back in August, but not a skull. A lot of hearts will be breaking (and I suspect have broken) over this...

I'm not aware of this case. Good they found the body, though. Hopefully it might lead to a conviction.

I too am ignorant on this. Perhaps one could placate us with a recent article?

Someone put together a Wikipedia article which goes over 'most everything you could want.
In summary, Caylee was a three year old girl who disappeared in June, and whose mom didn't report her missing until July. Mom's story has been comprised of half-truths and falsehoods, such as Caylee was dropped off with a sitter who had never met the family, at an address that hasn't been lived in for months... the works. It was also determined that a decomposing body had been in her car. Incriminating web searches were done on the family computer (how to break a neck, how to make chloroform...), and Mom has been in and out of jail on this case. She was finally indicted for murder without a body being found, and now that a body has been found... may God rest Caylee Anthony's soul.

According to that article, the skull was found Dec 11. The original reporting (of a suspicious bag only) was back in August. And apparently the skull did add urgency to the police response...
