Last night, some very lucky Star Trek fans who believed they were walking into a screening of 1982's Wrath of Khan instead got a surprise sneak peek at J.J. Abrams' new enterprise.

I woulda cried too. What a great cover story lol, Wrath of Khan, they musta been all half asleep walking in only to be shocked awake with the new trek movie. I am looking forward to it, even though I amn't a huge fan of kirk and TOS (love everything from TNG onward of course). The remakes and prequels done with the CGI and effects of our time really do wonders for the "early days", such as with the Enterprise series. Only wish it wasn't cancelled as I recall being really gutted when I found out.

Meant to be out next month so the rest of us Star Trek freaks who couldn't go to that can see it. If people are saying it is the best one, it's gonna be pretty darn good.

So it opened today, has anyone seen it yet?

The critics are giving it a very good review but i like to see what real people have to say about it.

Hope it is good

Saw it last night, was very good. Have to agree it was a nice reboot of the old franchise. The question is where to go from here? I amn not thrilled that Star trek found its new lease on life in the past, but for what its worth it was certainly a good movie.

Were you one of the people that got annoyed because non-trekkies would be able to understand it? Apparently some people were angry because the Klingons were subtitled when speaking, and these guys thought that only those who had taken the time to learn Klingon deserved to understand what was being said.

There was no Klingons in the movie, I think you've been had by The Onion.
