I'm trying to create a automatic download site for my site. It should be like you see everywhere, you click on download, a new page opens and automatically starts the download (with in the text of the page 'if your download doesn't start please click this link').
Now I've tried both javascript and html meta tags in my header but they don't seem to work. I tried another site's meta tags to their download and it worked OK. Is it possible that hosts have this option blocked (I'm using Lycos if that helps)? Both give the same error, the save as window opens but with the error that the file can't be downloaded. |
