The Troll's Tooth Tavern

[KDogRex]

*pouring out the last remnants of his morning coffee, KDog Rex looks out the window, watching the snow lightly drift down from the skies. The enormous stone hearth provides him with warmth and offers his patrons solace from the cold. Crushing out his cigarette into the brass ashtray on the worn oak bar, he turns back to the crowd and wades back in to make sure his patrons are happy. 'Who will stop in today,' he thinks as he takes another order...*

Hey, bar keep, can I get a shot of Troll's Choke over here.

*looks over at Elif and nods good naturedly at the newcomer*

"Aye, that you can. One moment, though. Did you want Troll's Choke Pale Ale, or Troll's Choke Golden Draft Light?"

*Zeeke slips in quietly through the door, shaking off the snow that has gathered on his heavy cloak. Spotting Kdog, but hoping he hasn't been spotted, he slowly makes his way up to the bar.

"Hey, ya worthless bar keep! What does a guy have to do to get a drink around here?" He yells, but a with twinkle in his eye and a smile at the corners of his mouth.*

*Wheeling around with a speed that surprises even himself, KDog stops, his blade less than an inch from Zeeke's thoat. Shaking, just a little, he slips the dagger back into it's place under the bar*

Damn, Zeeke, that's a good way to get yerself killed!!! The usual today?

*Never flinching at the reaction of Kdog, Zeeke holds his ground, but lets a huge smile break the somber look that is usually locked on his face.*

"Kdog, you never cease to amaze me! Good way to get myself killed? Heh, I'm not worried about that! You knew who it was the whole time, you just like to put on a good show. You always were quite the performer. Yeah, give me the usual."

*Chuckling to himself, he settles in at the bar, and surveys the new surroundings."

*chuckling quietly to himself, KDogRex wipes down the bar and pours himself another steaming mug of coffee and steps out from behind the bar. picking up his guitar, he strums a light hearted tune for the customers and hums along with it*

*Zeeke turns to watch Kdog play, always enjoying the music. A look of contentment plays across his face, as his eyes half close, and he remembers the days of adventuring with Kdog.*

"Kdog, when you're done with that song, how 'bout you light me a smoke?" He says with a wink.

*with one hand on the fretboard of the guitar, the other makes a small arcane gesture and a bolt of blue flame jets to the cigarette hanging out of Zeeke's mouth, sparking it to life*

Actually, that sounds like a good idea! *reaching into his leather tunic, he pulls out one of his own and lights it. Dragging deeply, he also remenisces about the"good old days" before life got so complicated...*

*Weary from his travels, he slowly drags on the cigarette that Kdog gave him. Leaning farther back in his chair, he closes his eyes, and drifts into a state of semi-slumber (as his RL lunch time is now here).*
