Default Another post about Vampire:Bloodlines

It's been posted before, i made sure by making a quick search of 'vampire' in this forum just so i dont look like a doofus later on......... :|

I just bought this game, 20 bucks, thought the cover was awesome, game about being a vampire is a change from smash, qq, omgwtfroxorzboxorzoverpoweredcheesebbq from WoW.

Anyways after playing this on my Vista computer, i noticed several bugs in the intro already. The audience in the theater have weird graphics, the characters spectating change skins during the last part of the cut scenes, and even my sire (as a nosferatu) seems to be an attractive girl, then changes into a nosferatu. Also the beheading which takes place, the big chunky bouncer guy just seems to stand there with his sword in the air, about to swing. You hear the audio of it, but never see it.

I've chosen two characters so far, Nosferatu and Malkavian. I've already blown a masquerade warning with Nos just for leaving him unattended for a minute.

Malkavian seems more interesting, the choice of words that are used in conversation are much more vast than simple "How did this happen". I've specialised into Obfuscerate (Not sure on spelling) for improved stealth, and melee combat. The disciplines used arn't very effective so i tend to rather sneak up and stealth kill rather than run around aimlessly like a retarded panda.

So far im enjoying it, the haunted mansion is quite scary, running down that corridor and having that ghost lady run across the intersection caused me to be more cautious to more unexpected things. Friggen elevators collapsing, jugs flying across the room bah! No final death yet.

The game so far looks great, but just number one in bugs.

There is a patch that you absolutely MUST download in order to get the game running more or less bugfree, i suggest you get it and install it before starting a new game. There even is a gamekilling bug at the end of the vampirehunter's base, which will make the game CTD time and time again UNLESS you get the patch. My game is pretty much bugfree now, and i think the game is great.

Btw...you got ripped off, i got my copy for 10€

Actually... The game was free. I was given 100$ free credit to anything in Harvey Norman because we were overpriced on a 19"LCD moniter by 250$ so i bought Call of Duty 1, Vamprie bloodlines, Battle for Middle Earth and The Matrix.

The strangest thing just happened to my Malkavian.. I was in my Haven in Santa Monica and the T.V started to talk to me. I found this quite bizzarre, and he told me some lame joke too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThyD2ikS9SY

Yep, playing as a Malkavian is a totally different experience than playing as any other clan. I quit halfway the game when playing a Malk, i couldn't get Janet in the sack, major bummer.

just so you know... a lot of what you saw in the opening sequence has happened to plenty of us, too. and the beheading part was a last minute thing with the devs. the publishers said no to it. the game needed to ship right away (there were several long delays before release) so some things that they were working on just got stopped.

Ok i am at the part where you kill the two chinese dudes. I managed to absolutely own them, thanks to Mercury (As my character so puts it), sold me a flamethrower. 5 seconds later the quest was done.

I am having trouble in the park though with the zombies. They keep escaping and i dont have enough AoE or anything to get rid of them with. I've tried my trusty flamethrower but it just doesn't last for 5 minutes..

After about the 5th time screwing it up i went on a rampage, was pretty fun killing all those innocent bums Yes i'm evil Went to Downtown, did a shootout in Conffesions, went to the hotel did a bit of shooting there.. The amount of cops that come out sure do keep you occupied. I've also discovered the Tab button, never knew that you can change your fire style. I'm hitting 200's with my 'Jamie Sue', it's awesome, take out those cops real easy like.

Mostly im just looking around.. looking for quests and funny things. For some reason i started talking to a stop sign :S Kept telling it to stop it rofl. Classic stuff <3 this game.

Mwah, i got my copy a little over a year and a half ago, so it doesn't feel like being ripped off. Prices for this game really went down hard, like if it's some kind of failure or something, while this actually is a great and fun game.

Well considering that after about 2 years the game still comes out with more bugs than Paris Hilton's pants....

And omg it's happened. I completed the game, i got really hooked into it and finished it. I was really surprised to find that the inside of the coffin only had explosives in it from Jack, with a note and a smile on it. This was foretold earlier by the future teller lady in Santa Monica when she said "Why is he smiling?" (I assume..) . I walk out the building and it explodes, the Anarchs are all like "Come join us, we need you kid", and i just laughed when she just stuck her finger up at them.

I think i may just play it again as a Tremure
