The last two days my computer is acting weird. It just freezes from time to time for couple of secconds. I checked my computer for viruses or spyware but didn't find nothing. What is wrong? Any ideas?

Lets see:

Full hard drive?
Loose memory... plate(?)
corrupt video drivers?
any programs running that take up unusual amount of resources? (use the taskbar and click the Processes tab) you can sort what processes take up most resources by clicking memory useage?

Well thats all my ideas so far...

CPU cooler playing up a bit? RAM clogged?
Most likely the memory is clogged, so you are getting the bottleneck effect... Happened to me once on old PC. You should uninstall some things that demand CPU time and work all the time.
But it could help if you would be more specific.

memory is clogged

That would be my guess as well. Uninstall some programs you don't use, burn any movies, music, images to a CD, and delete them off your machine. Basically clean up your computer, and after defrag the harddrive as well.

I discovered the root of the problem. I had two AV programs installed: Kaspersky and Avast. So I deleted Kaspersky and everything is working as it should now.

Kap is a keeper. Sometimes if you run the computer for long periods of time the cache can turn into overload for the system. Reboot, or turn the computer off for about a minute so the cache can clear completely. This helps me plenty of times, and is easier than reinstalling programs. Also, if you do uninstall something reboot your system, it helps clean up loose junk bits. Defrag can help that a lot as well. Adjust your virtual memory also, if you feel comfortable doing so, and that can give your computer some more room to spread all the crap it has to do or use. And as said before, get rid of the junk files you may have piled up. Or just throw the computer out the window and hang from the chandelier like a monkey screaming "Poot, poot!"

**NOTE** This will not in any way solve your problem, but will, in fact, make anyone in the room laugh at your display of absolute stupidity.

Ahh, you were in my last 'maintain your computer yourself without resorting to expensive tech support, whose sole purpose is to rip you off' course, weren't you?
