Report from Al Jazera saying the British in Basra? have found a underground prison. They can hear voices but can not find a way in.
This should be interesting if true. |

I heard the same report yesterday morning but as of yet haven't heard anything else. It would be interesting to know why they reported it.

That is odd. Kinda like this one.
I did at least hear Brig. Gen. Brooks mention it at a briefing a couple of days later at least...nothing specific or of significance but made me feel better about having heard it myself LOL! |

LOl I no you can type
![]() ![]() All the attention has turned to this top Ba'ath party member's surrender right now. Chances of seeing anything surface on the underground prison report won't resurface (maybe for days, maybe not at all) unless the British forces found something that they had no idea of earlier. *laughs* I know how weird that sounds, but what was said days later about my twilight zone-ish post makes it make sense to me. |

If you find a way out of the twilight zone feel free to pass the way on
They could act like they are not aware for other reasons. Everything is not getting reported I am sure for security reasons. [ 04-12-2003, 11:40 AM: Message edited by: Mordenheim ] |

LOL I will
![]() I agree with you in regard to some stories and security too. So many little things make me wonder...like yesterday morning a report on the 5 bank robbers in Basra showed footage of what the reporter said was British military personnel putting those bank robbers into a truck and later in the day the report was changed to say that they had shot & killed them "for no obeying orders when told to halt" without any video feed on the story. No one has denied that they killed them, but that footage ran throughout the day without the commentary, just as "pictures of the war". Baffling. refraining from speculation on either account. ![]() |

Hey, I just caught a snippet of a report on FOX while my room mate was talking to me (which is why I missed most of the report).
Video showed two guys listening through what looked like a glass tube that was stuck in the ground and the commentator was saying "as many as 5,000 people could be trapped" by the time I got him to hush. End of report; on to other things. Will look for a link to add to this thread. Argh, where is Skunk when you need him ![]() [ 04-12-2003, 08:11 PM: Message edited by: Lil Lil ] |
