Let's see if I got this straight. Oklahoma gets blazed 35-7 in their conference championship, yet are ranked #1. USC's only loss was in triple-overtime, yet they're ranked #3.

I agree. Let's have a playoff. Yet I think they're only doing the bowls because they stand to make more money. Also IMO bowls mean everyone gets a chance to win something. Still, a single championship would really determine who's best.

They were ranting and raving about the system this morning on AM 670, the Score (Chicago).
When the system was originally created, they knew that a chance existed for the number one team to be passed on the championship game. It seems it has become a reality. I just wonder if the current system will be changed, or if they will just continue running it the same way and consider it a fluke. |
