I'm trying to find the name of a sega game I played back when I was very young (probably about 10 years ago).
It was for Sega Genesis, and all I remember is it was a side-scrolling action game. you were basically a guy who flew/floated through each level, shooting stuff up. it seems like you were fighting aliens or something, but I'm not sure. you had a gun that you could shoot in multiple directions, but you could pick up upgrades, and even a flamethrower of some sort. It was two-player also (I played it with a friend a lot), and a really neat feature was that if both players stayed near each other, a small electrical field of some sort appeared between them, and it made thier weapons stronger. anyway, If you know what game I'm talking about, lemme know. I'll add more information if I remember anything else. thanks |

Hmm, pretty vague description...but I'll have a couple of guesses. You can always check them on mobygames.com or your favourite games site.
I'm thinking maybe Alien Storm, that was a two player blast-em up double dragon style scrolling. Err, Metal Slug? Turrican? (eep, also only one player) Just naming games that could match your description. It also sounds a little like Midnight Resistance, although I'm pretty sure that was only one player. Hope that helps somehow. Cheers, Cerebrodragon

lots of good replies, but "Forgotten Worlds" sounds familiar.
hehe I played bomberman and Metal slug, but I know those aren't it. there's a chance it could be alien storm, so now that I have some titles to work with, I can search around and see. thanks |

I would have guessed either Alien Storm or Midnight Resistance.
I've never played Midnight Resistance on Genesis, but I've played it on some Amiga computer and I know you can play two players at once there. It's a game where one blue and one green dressed guy are out to save their family, or something along those lines.
