I haven't really been playing Morrowind that much - but I just bought Bloodmoon (yesterday actually) - (when I say "much", I mean about 9 or 10 hours or so, maybe 12.) Anyway, my character is a drow dunmer and is about level 15 or so. Playing a "custom" class of my own devising, I have skills in destruction magic, longsword, light armour, er, marksmanship, athletics, mystersism, restoration, acrobatics, speechcraft and several others. Several misc skills I also build on having trained from several people... and then taken their money back from through trading...

Having installed Tribunal as well, some nice guy dressed in black tried to kill me - and after much cursing - I slew him and took his lovely armour... having joined the blades, as I have no choice - (and I plan to kill that jerkish human at some point,) - I have just finished interviewing all those idiot contacts in Vivec. - now, I'm sort of bored, and I could go on that mission for that blade-person-whos-name-I-forget, and go and find someother guy somewhere else...

Or, I could join the Morag Tong - I went to their base in Balmora - and they told me that - (after having charmed the bunch of them up to 100 ) that I had to go and see this idiot House Haulu(typo) in Vivec... a few questions:

Is it worth it?
What quests do they give you?
Does it stop you from joining any other factions?
Can I "legally" kill people? I assume I'll need some sort of contract...
Do I get a house?
What sort of areas(skills) do they focus in?
What abouts is this Morag Tong head-guy?

Also on a side note, they hate the Dark Brotherhood... I'm assuming it's not possible to join them...? (I also assume that you can't join the Camona Tong... though, I like their ideals... wha? So I wanna purge Morrowind of the "evil" humans/imperial/empire/emperor...)

Finally, is it possible to join that guy Dagoth Ur (typo?), and/or still become the Neveraine*? Can I take his place?
*I assume that your this guy reincarnated/or can chose to become him, because the so-called "hints" they keep throwing at you are so obvious its enough to make anyone cry.

Oh, and I've heard you can become a werewolf in Bloodmoon... what actually happens if you do?/how can you? And can you use it to play in the main quest of Morrowind? Or does it screw up the main quest, etc.

Any comments/suggestions would be welcome. Thanks again guys (&gals).

Yes, it's worth it to join House Hlaalu, but the same goes for the other houses.

You can join as many factions as you like, but only one of the Great Houses.

You cannot kill anyone legally, unless they attack you first. So taunt them, and you'll get what you want.

Yes, you'll get a stronghold, no matter for which one of the houses you work. I personally am not too crazy about the stronghold i got, i use plugins for a home. I have one in Balmora and one in Vivec.

What kind of skills ? You're talking about Hlaalu, right ? That would be everything involving stealthy actions and thieving.

I don't know much about the Morag Tong to be honest, i've never joined them before. I side with their enemies.

You can't join the Camona tong and the Dark Brotherhood, you're gonna have to deal with them.

And you can't join House Dagoth either (too bad), however, you can join one of the vampireclans in Vvardenfell, it will improve your skills greatly if you'd decide to do so.

Thanks. Hmm, so I have to join House Hlaalu to join the Morag Tong? Hope not... I was planning on steering clear of the Great Houses - but the 'Tong said the guy that ran them was in House Hlaalu... bah, I hate Vivec... guess I'll have to look around.

Joining a vampire clan - does that mean you become one/become undead?

edit: who are the Morag Tong's enemies?

Umm... Johnny just said it wasn't possible to join the Dark Brotherhood... and he said he usually joins the Morag Tong's enemies - so I assume he means someone else? :-\

The Morag tong aren't too friendly with the Fighters guild, and that's who i usually join first.

Dunno really, like i said, i never joined the Morag Tong before, but i did join House Hlaalu on two occasions, Redoran once, and i haven't tried the Telvanni yet, but that's purely because i don't like mages that much.

And yes, in order to join a vampireclan, you have to get bitten by one first, and then after a while you'll turn into an undead, for which is a cure as well once you've had enough of it. Haven't tried that myself either, but i hear good things about it, so it's worth a try.

Hmm, I never joined the fighter's guild... lol, I'll have to try getting bitten then - and then going and getting turned into a werewolf... could be interesting. .

Also, does anyone know the ranks for the Blades? Atm, I'm at journeyman rank.

You can join the assassin's guild without joining Hlaalu and yes, it is worth it...

At a certain point in the game you won't gain ranks anymore, so you're not able to reach the highest rank, whatever that may be. You'll find out for yourself what i'm talking about, i don't wanna spoil the whole storyline here.
