Paralyze, because anything unconscious becomes conscious again after it's dealt even the slightest amount of damage.

I'm not sure, but it seems to me you get better bonus to damage when the opponent is paralyzed, than when he/she/it is unconcious... |

It seems to me that they are just two ailments that do the same thing. The differences are things like you can't make someone unconscious from a spell. I hit for the same damage and stuff no matter if they are unconscious or not. The rp thing is that a paralyzed victim can still tell what's going on to them and an unconscious one can't. However, you can be paralyzed and unconscious at the same time, so that if one wears off, the other won't necessarily.

Still I'd say that Paralysis is stronger because Stamina usually seems to regen enough for them to be conscious again after a round or so. |

in my experience paralysed and unconcious seem very much the same. as the unconcious condition is most often cauzed by a weapon it lasts for some time, same as parapysed, and they rarely wake up before they are bopped to death.
sleepers allways wake up pretty quicky, if not when hit then at the end of the round.

If you are wielding a weapon that has any %KO, or you're a Fighter or Monk, you can cause Unconsiousness physically. Paralysis can also be caused by a weapon, or magic, or certain quasi-magical physical attacks, like webs thrown by Spiders. Both cause losses in AC, including removing any Speed bonus. This is why you do so much more damage.
