Hi, I'm in Arnika and want to sell some potions. He'Li or Antone won't buy them. Where can I sell them? Also, my dwarf fighter started the game with a battle axe that did 2-8 dam. Antone sold me a normal hand axe that does 1-12 dam. How does a hand axe do more damage than a battle axe? Thanks.

about the potions, go to lord braffit. he will buy them.

sorry, don't know from axes.

i base my dmg on the mid range. so i would think they both average 5-6 damage, WHEN you're doing good. if you don't have much skills or much str then it will be less than that.

i mean, i haven't ever looked at a 1-12 dmg weapon and jumped for joy thinking "Wow!! im gonna smack 12 dmg every hit!" cuz it just doesnt happen. taking the middle road by averaging is prolly wishful thinking, too, but it lets me muddle by.

BUT, i only base all this on ADD, cuz that's what im familiar with. someone else will give you more accurate info, i'm sure.

your right, damage is random based on the numbers gien on the weapon

so the hand axe would be 6.5 avg and the battle axe would be 6 avg, not much of a difference.

Being a firm believer in Murphy's law I look at the minimum damage for each weapon. In general if the average damage is the same, I will take the wepaon with the higher minimum damage and sacrifice a few points of maximum damage. I tend to get the lower end of the luck scale in games. However, this comparison of damage goes out the window when you add other special abilities or affects to the weapon.
