Just wondering if it is a good idea to keep your skill point distribution limited to as few skills as possible so as to raise them quickly? Then once you have gotten them to where you want them, start filling in the other areas.
Thanks in advance, Jaeger |

I don't know if you should, but that's what i'm doing, i never put anything to artifact and mythology stuffs, they always get raised anyways. I specialize in only one weapon and have that character always use that type of weapon. For the stats points, you should try to increase any stats you want to 100 as quickly as possible, cuz you'll get special skill. But then again, i'm a wizardry newbie, so i don't know if it's the right thing to do.

Generally, I pick 3 or 4 skills to raise per character and focus on them. This usually includes the characters primary skill (the one colored blue). The exception to this is the bard. His primary skill is communications, and I didn't see any point in pumping skill points into that.
Once a skill reaches 75, it can no longer be raised at level up, only through practice. This will start to happen with primary skills around level 10. At that point, you can pick secondary skills to start working on. It's really nice to have a few characters with high mythology, so you can see the stats of monsters (it's frustrating when your mythology character goes unconscious, and suddenly your seeing ?/? instead of hps on monsters), and artifacts is handy for identifying stuff, and necessary to be able to use it. |

Yes. Limit your skill developments becuase you have to be specialized to handle tough creatures starting around level 8. If your fighters have a 20 skill rating in 3 weapons versus a 60 in one, you will have alot of trouble. Focusing on one field in spellcasting will also make thos spells more powerful. I had to restart the game twice already because I had many Jack's of all trades. Now that I am more focused I am doing much better. It's really cool how the game forces you to do this too since it would only make sense that the only powerful spellcaster would be your mage, your best healer your priest, your best swordsman your fighter, etc. instead of having 6 people equally good at all.
