Having worked with the original UA I am somewhat familiar with DC. However, I was wondering if there were any download sites for graphics and if my existing artwork DB (which is extensive) for UA could be converted and, if so, how to go about that conversion? Also is there a FAQ or instruction manual available for DC that would emphasize the differences with UA and serve as a "how-to" guide?

There is an archive called the Magic Mirror at

http://frua.dns2go.com

It is mostly a UA archive, but allows DC files to be stored there too. This archive is running on a home pc and is not always online. It allows uploads up to 3MB per file, and can be searched. I usually hit the 'Browse Archive' link and go to the Dungeon Craft folder.

There is some info about the image conversion steps I used in the help file. Look under

Editor/Importing/Importing Art

Ziroc and others have done far more work in the art department and might have more info for you. Generally, two things are different between UA and DC images. The images are stretched to meet DC's 640x480 minimum screen size, and DC uses the color of the pixel at 0,0 to determine the transparent color for the whole image. The help file gives info on which image types use transparency, and the dimensions I stretched each UA image type to. The color cycling (palette animation) used by some UA images won't work in DC.

I have downloaded some of the files contained at that site you mentioned , Thanks. Are there any FAQ's or manuals on-line for DC?

There is only a help file in the installation, and I'm usually a little lazy about updating it

I try to respond to forum and email questions quickly, so feel free to ask if something comes up.
