I've probably posted this in the past, so forgive me for my repetition if so, but since so many new people arrive here....

So, has anyone here ever read Brian Lumely?

Yep, I have read about 8 of his books. Haven't read his latest books though. The one I have enjoyed most is "Khai of ancient Khem".

I've read most of his books, but enjoyed the Necroscope series best, until he ruined it with the latest series....I get the feeling he wrote them to fulfil contractual obligations rather than for the pleasure of it.

He is one of the true heirs of Lovecraft and has done a helluva lot to revive and renew the whole Vampire mythos as well.

I've read all his necroscope books and some on his Titus Crow books. I think he is not a very good writer who has very good ideas. So far I have enjoyed his books and agree that his latter series are not so interesting anymore.

I feel that Brian Lumely's interpretation of Vampire are the best I have seen. I like that vampire that are Evil n flesh, not like the Ann Rice kind. Moral and ethereal.
