Is there any patch that allows to change the resolution of the game. The 640x480 doesnt look too great on my 19" monitor.

And before you mention it, I dont want BGT or BGTuTu or DSotSC. I really want to play once the game just as it originally was. I dont want the game engine to change to that of BG2. I want to play on the original engine without the kits, without the tab key illuminating chests, without being able to stack more than 20 arrows, without being able to pause on inventory screens, without getting XP for scribing spells and opening chests, without drop-away interface, with MI being in a line not in a circle, without dual-wielding weapons, without..., without..., without...
i.e. with all the inconveniences and annoyances the old engine provided.

But resolution is just an aesthetic thing. Has nothing to do with gameplay, and I would like to be able to change it at least to 800x600.

So tell me if you know. And if there is no way I will just play it as it is. I guess it is just a matter of getting used to it.

The short answer is no, there isn't.

You already seem to know how you can get around it so I'm not going to bother mentioning it.

I think there may be a way. Fiddle around with some of the settings in bgconfig. I can't tell you which one it is as I don't have an original version of bg1 installed, but I think you can change some of the widths or something to change it manually.

Yes.. in BG2 not in BG..

After a lot of search I found nothing so I guess that's that. I'm installing BG now and starting to play.

I ran IWD in 640x680 to see what it would look like. Lol my finger automatically starts to scroll the mouse wheel because Im used to zooming out that way in NWN. But overall its not that bad. It's simply a matter of few hours to get used to it.

Thanks all.
