ok, my brother is going to firkags lair, and he runs into that invisibe fire dude that constantly shoots flames everywhere. the problem is no matter what he cant get him visible to attack him. detect invisibility doesnt work, and neither does his infeavision helmet. help

when i played on my game i just walked in there, he shot his load and chased me, but not on my brother. did it have to do with maybe my characters i have?

he eventualy killed him by shooting wand of cloudkill in there.

oh, almost forgot my bonus smiley-

You need to wear the helmet of whatever III. The artifact you put together allows you to see the fire elemental.

Right...the helm of King Strom III. You have to forge it by collecting the pieces from the guardian genies in the little closets in the Maze.

Apparently anyone can wear that helm, even thieves and mages, and it does prevent against critical hits, so it's worth while keeping afterward as well.

I don't get infrasion. You can already see everything perfectly fine at night, and also there are those circles on everybody's feet that tell you where they are. To me it is just a useless ability.

The circles can be disabled in the in-game options. Once you`ve done that, infravision isn`t so useless anymore.

"Infravision" is infrared vision, i.e. seeing heat signatures. Invisible creatures are also invisible to infravision, IIRC.

To see that invisible fire elemental you are supposed to assemble the Helm of King Stohm. But I think that you could also use the spell "True Sight".

Yes, you can use 'True Sight'. I was just about to say that.
