Reflections on ToB - The End (full of spoilers!)

Before you read on, please know that BG, BGII and ToB is BY FAR the coolest thing ever to have happened on my PC...

Well, I feel somehow dissapointed about this whole end thing. To start with, I am the role playing type, not the power gamer (or whatever expressions suit different styles). What exactly is the big thing about fighting the same battle four times? It is very much like one of those arcade game style endings to me - the biggest challenge is to spare your spells because you can't rest. But in the end, it all comes down to melee and no tactics. No mages to take out, no spells that will really turn the battle in your favour, except for summoning and destruction spells. And by the start of every battle, your party is lined up for you in a please-come-and-kill-us-one-by-one formation.
Had there only been some really cool dialogue showing that this is The End - of the by far greatest CRPG ever(!!!), but no - all you get is: "ooohh, you have beaten me now, but I will gather a bit more of that Bhaal essence and THEN I will eat you for breakfast"...That doesn't exactly meet the standards af Jon Irenicus, in my book anyway...

Who the heck is that itchb anyways ? We never saw any hide nor hair of her until ToB, and all of a sudden she is the culmination ? I don't like it. I thought it was too short as well. I mean I would've liked a planar romp and went to Limbo, meet some gith, kill some slaadi, do some weird quest move on, and hit some ancient and exotic cultures and nuke the hell out of them.

If I had things my way, you would go through that last battle, and when she's finally defeated, Bhaal is ressurected, and you get something akin to the end of PlaneScape: Torment. You could talk your way out or fight your way out, with the talking way giving far better results.

Also, Sarevok clawed his way out of the friggin abyss and Bhaal can't ? What a sissy !

Maseman, Hitler was more than just a nobody. He was probably the greatest political mastermind of his age. I mean, he turned a dying country in the middle of a global depression into a serious world power, and skirted all the restrictions that their defeat had given them. That's not a nobody, that's a driven man with goals and ambitions. Now I'm not condoning it, but it's extremely childish to say that just because someone is defeated, he's a nobody. If you can't respect and learn from the past, then you're doomed to have it repeated.

Also, use sentences and grammar. It makes it alot easier to understand for everybody.
