Why does the wording for the spell, Abi-Dalzhim's Horrid Wilting, slower, is it like a warning to bolt and get the hell out of there?
And why is Abi-Dalzhim's Horrid Wilting posted under a Necromancy type spell???? Good Luck finding out |

It's not an illusion, no doubt about that ![]() It's not evocation/invocation: it's not a stationary spell (although it sort of looks like it when you cast it), the caster is not calling upon their God to help them out, and the caster is not creating materials (like Melf's Acid Arrows) to shoot at his/her enemies. It's not abjuration because it's not a protection spell. It's not alteration because, well, I don't know why. I'd think it could possibly be this since it changes the condition of a creature. It's not enchantment/charm b/c it's not changing a character's attitude (unless he dies from it ) and it doesn't give magical properties to items. It's not divination because the caster is not learning hidden secrets. Which leaves Necromancy. It could be necromancy because it deals with the vitality of living creatures, like many of the other spells. But it's affect mathes no other class except necromancy and alteration.

MUST NOT QUOTE, MUST NOT QUOTE....
![]() sorta think of it as the mummification spell, you're essentually mummifying a creature alive...(though it works on undead too...hmmm...)

Extracting all moist from a subject's body seems like Transmutation to me, sorry. The only thing Necromantic about that spell is the little skull you see when it hits..

No, transmutation is not turning x into y. Transmutaation is just altering an object's conditions. So, a body could be removed of all it's water, basically what ADHW does.

we're not converting a body's water into silica, for example...we're removing it, in an entropic process...extraction...
like an undead sucks out yer levels...

Well, it hit them for so much, some times it kills them. Killing = Death , Death = Necromancy
