I guess I was hoping for something a little more dynamic after you duck out of the Hand, perhaps something more similar to the BG2 ending...Not just the old page-flipping with the PCs heading off...

I'd say - definitely. The complex plot, the wide variety of characters and monsters, the role-playing aspect and the incredible detail give it a clear edge over lesser games such as Diablo II, IMHO....
