The pickpocketing bug was a major problem for me (I almost always play rogues) at first but I did find a mod that fixed it. Importing a character to Awakening and having them show up...

By "best light armour" I mean any tier 7 (Drakeskin) armour whether plain or with magical properties, they all require 20 strength to equip :)
