I suggest that you download Dan Simpson's walkthrough for icewind dale which can be found at Sorcer's Net or "Sorcer's Place."
Dan has a lot of helpful hints as well as the best walkthrough.

I suggest that you find a good hacker. Even though a hard drive crashes, It is still possible to retrieve the data and save it to a disk

Thanks Guys. I used Norton's Utilities to remove every reference to Shadows of Amn in the registry and hard disk and after removing everything, the program was installed.

I'm guessing that this means that some NCP of other creature file is missing.or corrupted.
