chewbacca, you know as well as i that history shows nothing yet in this matter. if this iraq 'fiasco' comes off as a success bush will go down in history as a champion of democracy and therefore a great president. the caption will read: "despite strong party oposition, bush acted to overthrow the tyrant saddam and free his people so that they could share the same basic human rights as americans." needless to say, if iraq falls to terrorism, it won't go so well for bush.
what the media consistantly FAILS to report, however, are the vast changes in iraq. the people have culture and are happy. approval of their own government as opposed to being ruled by the US is good. they appreciate being able to listen to what music they choose, and go to plays. the death toll from these terrorist attacks is probably no higher than the people who were executed on saddams whims.
