Most of the tips pointed out here are correct, the most important are:
1) Protect your party members (in his sight range, anyway) from Imprisonment
2) Kangaxx is immune to all spells in Levels 1-9, except those spells that create weapons (such as MMM)
3) Kangaxx can only be hurt by weapons that strike as a +4 weapon or better (there is a certain +2 mace that strikes as +5)

One tip that was missed, however, is DO NOT USE SUMMONS! They will be Imprisoned, not killed. So if you summon 5 allies, and they get Imprisoned, you will leave the area and strangely not me able to summon any more. You can only have 5 Summons--your 5 are still alive, sealed into a small chamber deep within the earth's mantle. You will need to use the 9th-level spell Freedom to get them out, before you will will EVER to cast ANY more Summoning spells.
