Re: DDO
You mean Dungeon and Dragons Online, right? In that game you need to form a group to be really effective. There are some things a solo character can do, but you don't go far or fast. It's a good game if you have set of RL peeps that agree to meet at set times so your party can adventure. If you DON'T have a preset group, then you have to hang out in the common area and try to pick up fellow travelers. That's a situation I don't like because you come into contact with all sorts of jerks and creepzoids that actually expect you to play to WIN! Whatta bunch of weirdos! But seriously, if you are new to, or just not very good at(meaning fast), online games...then you WILL probably make a mistake of commission or omission that will get your party wiped. When that happens your more experienced party members will literally get pissed at you, and let you know it. Try it and see if you like it.
A bit of advice for ANY online game;
Try to have the entire rig you are using be "on the wire". NO WIRELESS components. Wireless, especially if you are close to the limit of the range, has a noticeable lag. That lag will be VERY APPARENT in an online game.
Happy adventuring!
