Quick question:
If you start out as a ninja or ranger, do you still get thrown or ranged criticals after you change to another class? I have the same question for critical strikes from monks and samurais.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard that the following skills stay with you if you change classes, they just might not progress any further:
scouting
pick pocket
locks and traps
music
stealth
engineering
all magical skills
all weapon skills (but you might not be able to use that particular weapon)

I haven't done much with class changing and am thinking about some possibilities on my next team.
Thanks!

If your current character class doesn't normally have access to a skill it will still be able to use it (i.e. music), but it won't get increases.

You keep the criticals skill from the ninja, and the ranged weapon skill from the ranger. And you keep the critical skill from each class.

The ranged critical ability of the ranger, and the thrown critical ability of the ninja, aren't skills. They are special abilities of the class, and are lost when you change the class.

'Nomal' critical strikes (samurai, monk, ninja) in melee use only the critical skills ability. They are available after a class change (but you'll loose the 25% bonus of the ninja). Even without this skill, any class can get criticals from weapons (and from the assassins cap).
