On my current game of BGI and TotSC, I cannot get to Ulgoth's Beard. Normally you would exit the map with the bridge to BG city on the east side of the river, just north of Tenya's house. But my game doesn't have an exit there, and the other exit (west of the river) just leads to the farm with the zombie trouble. Does anybody have any ideas on how to get to Ulgoth's Beard, or any way to fix the game, if it is broken?

I have the latest official patch, baldurdash patch, the first 3 dudleyville fix packs (the other two do not do anything major) and some of the dudleyville tweaks, such as always MaxHP. I also have avengers racial traits fix, which gives elves and half-elves resistance to sleep and charm.

Are you sure you installed ToTSC? Even if you can't get there, Ulgoth's Beard should at least be grayed out on your map if you installed it.

Don't you have to have "unlocked" BG city to be able to go to UB? I mean, it's greyed out, but you can't actually go there until you are fairly high in level?

No, you can go there at anytime, unless you are running the BGT mod.

I am thinking the same as Lord, is it definately installed?

If you start a new game, and then install ToSC, the game will not know how to add the new areas to your map until you run the program MCONVERT, which is in your Baldur's Gate directory.

If ToSC was already installed when you began this game, THEN you have some strangeness.

[ADD:] Oh, and I confirm that Ulgoth's is accessible as early as Chapter 1 in the default game.

Six, I don't think this is the case anymore. Maybe it is like that with an older version of the game, but when I bought ToTSC last year, I didn't need to run MCONVERT even though I had read that I need do to so in order to access ToTSC. However, everything was there from the start somehow...

Well, I think I've figured it out. The Dudleyville Fixpack 1 changes the zombie farm map by removing the eastern exit in the north-east corner of the map and changes the Wyrms Crossing (bridge to BG city) map by removing the north exit east of the river. the fixpack has a lot of other changes, but these seem to be the only ones that affect getting to Ulgoth's Beard.

I had to re-install BG and TotSC, apply the official patch, baldurdash fixpack, racial traits, and manually (clicking yes or no to each overwrite, rather than "yes to all" once) install the Dudleyville fixpack.

To test whether this works or not, I'll use my old Cleric/Illusionist to see if Ulgoth's is now accessible.

Edit: It's still not accessible, but the exits to it are back, so maybe I'll try with a new character later. Thanks for the help, everyone.

Edit: A new icon, cool.
