It is indeed possible to play HotU in multiplayer mode. It takes a little intervention by the player hosting the game (the DM as it were) but it IS doable. Here's the trick:

At the opening "dream sequence" cut scene the host will be teleported to his room at the inn but the rest of the players will NOT

the host then activates the "cheat console":
type the <accent character> (it's the key above the tab key) and then type DebugMode 1

Each player still in the dream sequence now types:
<accent character> dm_jumptopoint 50 25 q2a_yprooms


After the drow battle near the well, the players will have to open the console again and this time type

dm_jumptopoint 15 25 Area001

When I get the complete list of jump commands I will list them here as an update. (I may be off slightly on the co-ordinates for the second command).

Bottom line is that this DOES work, making HotU playable in multiplayer!!!! This may seem cumbersome but it actually takes VERY little time. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I believe there is a workaround at Bioware, yes.

I plead NOT GUILTY as the having too much time on my hands. This was actually the work of a friend of mine who DEFINITELY DOES have too much time on his hands. lol

Let's be clear about the approach I am referring to. It does NOT require ANY hakpak. This solution is entirely implemented by commands through the console. You do not need multiple relics, demon grappling hands or any other such item.

Okay, here is the full range of jump commands to make HotU playable in mplayer. Warning - may contain general game spoilers.Here's the procedure again:

1. Host system enters debug mode by typing:

`DebugMode 1

2. Out of sync players enter:

`dm_jumptopoint x y

OR

`dm_jumptopoint x y areacode

3. Host system exits debug mode by typing:

`DebugMode 0


Notes:

The x in the above command should be replaced by the x-coordinate number of the map location.

The y in the above command should be replaced by the y-coordinate number of the map location.

The areacode in the above command should be replaced by the Tagname of the area. This is not needed if jumping within the same area in which you are currently located.

Below is a list of jump points. If more than one is listed for the area, the first is the entrance point and the rest are annotated as to their approximate location on the map.
