How do you defeat the chromatic demon in the second level of watchers keep?

You can just whack him down with magic weapons, but they just won't do much damage. You may have noticed that he switches forms. I think each of his forms is weak against a certain element:

Red Demon form is weak against Ice

Ice Golem form is weak against Fire

Shambling Mound form is weak against Lightning

Air Elemental form is weak against Acid

Note: these may not necessarily be right, but I'm fairly sure they are.
