Hi folks,
want to start a discussion here. It is generally known that kensais are masters of offense, not defense. Ease of use mod and item upgrade mod opens a totaly new dimenson for playing a kensai. I havnt tried it out but i believe that it is possible to achieve some insane AC. Just think of the girdle of glory(Ac -3), ring of preservation+2 etc. Cheers! |
True, but that wasn't the intent of the game designers. Also, that AC might be insane, but imagine how insane someone's AC would be with that stuff plus enchanted full plate.
Not to mention Shields.
Frankly, if you cheese that way, the Kensai's AC will still be sub-par to anyone wearing that stuff PLUS the best full-plate armor offered.
now a kensai->thief (with UAI) and all that stuff and the +2AC bonus . . . although, on reflection still beaten by the high level swashie
Uhm yeah, until you use that kensaithief to do dualwielding, give him some thief weapon and on the offhand either Belm or Kundane(or even the wakazashi that is usually only wieldable by monks!), slap improved haste on him and THEN use assassination, you kind of forget about things like AC really.
(that's a probable 1000+ damage in that round) |
Try doing the same for an Assassin->Fighter. ;) It works better.
Assassin->Fighter gets much less hp though; about half than if you start as a kensai.
Yeah I thought about that, had one minor problem: I don't like spending half of my game before both classes become active. (I assume you mean assassin lvl 21 after all)
