I started a new game, and Irenicus said the weirdest things while torturing me like, "you're not going to throw rocks at me are you?", and "I want to got to the Underdark, its cool down there!" Any explenation as to what just happened?

Heh, that almost sounds like Neeber or Noober, whichever he is.

You've probably installed some mods in the wrong order and screwed up your dialog.tlk file.

If you took backups of the important files before installing your mods, then restore them and reinstall your mods in the correct order (see forum FAQ).

If not, you'll need to reinstall. I normally get one or two glitches per game which don't really affect me, if it doesn't happen again then don't worry about it.

I find it to be pretty hilarious. Irenicus asked Imoen to sign his shirt, and she said only for the right compensation. The conversations are absoluty comical.

What mods do you have?

It sounds like you've installed the ease of use mod. One part of it (can't remember which part) will shorten the intro scenes and replace them with the dialog you mentioned.

From Ease-of-Use Readme:

It sounds like you just installed everything without looking. I suggest you reinstall it and make weidu (a)sk about each component. I don't like the disable traps n locks component, so I always ask about each one.

No, that's the Ease of Use mod. I use it myself, saves precious minutes. ;)

I just wish Neeber would use some Irenicus lines.
