Well-spotted, Meg! I mean they never use synonyms of a word to describe it in dictionaries. And it is quite surprising when one finds that synonyms work both ways :D

The point I was trying to make is that those definitions are useless in actually explaining the concept of existence/reality.

Okay, fair enough. Also, inflammable and flammable are also used to describe one another in the "Collins English Dictionary".

Yes, as in "I am right because I am much smarter than you, and I must be smarter than you because I am right".

If it was easy to define reality, philosophers would be out of a job.... Assuming, of course, we consider being a crazy street person or college professor a job.
