Although I do appreciate all these, interesting answer, is there a serious one here? I am keen to become a moderator, because I believe I can greatly help the Throne of Bhall and Shadows of Amn forums, because I have a great deal of experience with those games.

In that case, just enjoy helping out people on those forums. That's how I came to spend time here, by helping out folk on the old Darkstone forum. After a while Ziroc asked me if I would like to moderate on it and I accepted. When the Darkstone forum came to be archived, it sort of coincided with the resignation of one of the GD Mods and as I was in the European Time Zone, I was happy to help out on GD.

Trust me, it's a lot less stressful participating as a regular member than having to "police" some of the antics that go on here :D

That is how Memnoch got the job. LadyBlue, I'm afraid 'lots of fun' is not what moderating is like. [img]smile.gif[/img] It is work, pure and simple. We keep an eye on the forums and deal with problems. Mods don't get much enjoyment from having to lock a thread or tell people to behave more maturely or stop flaming etc. We would really rather not have to do those things at all! But it has to be done, to keep IW a great place to be.
